Job satisfaction & productivity

You can't improve what you don't measure.

JSandP measures your team's job satisfaction and productivity regularly, every two weeks or at the interval you choose, so you can see how both develop. And it gives you simple tools to improve them.

Two questions per round. Less than a minute per person. Larger organisation? Talk to us.

Step one: measure

A once-a-year survey tells you too late.

By the time annual survey results arrive, the frustration has built up and good people may already be gone. JSandP measures the two numbers that matter most, all the time, so you notice changes while you can still act on them. And because the team itself chooses what to try, people get a real say in their own work, which by itself makes the job more satisfying.

Annual engagement survey

  • Once a year, dozens of questions
  • Results arrive months later
  • Management decides what to change, employees wait
  • One attempt a year, no way to tell whether it helped

JSandP

  • Every two weeks (or your own interval), two questions (0–100)
  • Results for the whole team right after each round
  • The team decides what to try, because it knows best what helps
  • Many small experiments, each one visible in the trend

Why these two numbers

The biggest lever for the smallest effort.

Job satisfaction and productivity drive each other. Satisfied people do better work, and doing good work is satisfying. Improving both is one of the most effective things a team can do, and it doesn't need a big programme. It needs regular measurement and small, steady steps.

Step two: improve

A toolkit to move the numbers.

Measuring shows you where you stand. On top of that, JSandP gives you simple tools that help raise job satisfaction and productivity, and the measurement tells you how well they work for your team.

Random 1:1 talks

Every round, colleagues are paired at random, with no repeated pairs until everyone has met. Each talk starts with a few minutes of small talk, so colleagues get to know each other and build rapport, which makes working together easier. Then a short agenda: what gives energy, what slows us down, what could we change. Problems surface early and ideas spread across the team.

Recognize the most helpful colleague

With each rating, everyone can name the colleague who helped them most this round. Recognition from peers makes people feel valued, and it rewards exactly the helpful behaviour that makes a team productive.

Ideas and a team vote

After their 1:1 talk, each pair writes down one idea to improve job satisfaction or productivity. The team sees all ideas without names and votes for the one to try next. Votes can be changed until someone ends the vote, usually at the team meeting, and nobody in the team sees who voted for what. Then everyone gets the winning idea, and the next round shows whether it helped.

Results the whole team sees

After each round, everyone receives a short summary with the team's scores and the trend. Individual answers stay private; what's shared is the team picture everyone can act on.

Connect two teams

Pair people across two teams or departments so they share know-how and work better together.

How it works

Set up in minutes, then it runs by itself.

Create a team, invite your colleagues by email, and JSandP takes care of the rest, at the interval you choose.

Measure

Everyone rates their job satisfaction and productivity on a 0–100 scale. Straight from the email.

Improve

Short 1:1 talks that start with small talk and follow a clear agenda, and recognition for the colleagues who help the most.

Decide together

The ideas from the 1:1 talks are already in JSandP. After each round the team meets for about 30 minutes, goes through them and votes. Nobody in the team sees who voted for what, and everyone sees the winning idea to try next.

See the effect

The team gets its results and trend after every round, so you know which changes really work.

Frequently asked questions

Can't find your answer? Ask our AI assistant, it answers right away.

What exactly does JSandP measure?

Two things: how satisfied each person is with their job, and how productive they felt, both on a scale from 0 to 100. Every round, the team receives the averages and how they changed since the last round.

Who sees what? Are individual answers visible to the manager?

No. Ratings are shown as team averages only. Of the peer recognition, only the colleague recognized most is named. Ideas are shown without the names of the people who wrote them, and nobody in the team sees who voted for which idea. That keeps the answers honest, which is what makes the measurement useful.

How much time does it take?

Rating takes less than a minute per round. The 1:1 talk takes about 30 minutes, and the team meeting after the round about 30 minutes. Pairing, invitations, reminders and results run by themselves, so nobody has admin work.

Can we measure more or less often than every two weeks?

Yes. Two weeks is the default, but the team owner can set any interval in days and change it at any time.

Can we use only some of the tools?

Yes. The 1:1 talks, peer recognition and ideas with the team vote can each be switched on or off per team. The measurement itself is always on.

How does the team decide what to change?

Each pair writes down one idea after their 1:1 talk. At the team meeting you go through all ideas together; they are shown without names. Everyone votes for one idea, not their own, and can change the vote until someone ends it. Nobody in the team sees who voted for what. Everyone then gets the winning idea by email, and the next round shows whether it made a difference. A vote ended by mistake can be reopened, and the votes stay.

I have two teams and I'd like them to share ideas on how to work better together. Is this supported?

Yes. In the team settings, choose pairing "Between two teams". Every 1:1 talk then brings together one person from each team.

What does JSandP cost?

Teams of up to 20 people use JSandP for free. In larger teams, each member uses one credit per round. A credit costs 1 € plus VAT; during early access you get 50% off, so 0.50 €. Example: a team of 30 with one round a month pays 15 € a month plus VAT. To install JSandP on your own servers, there is a one-time licence of 3,999 € plus VAT.

Is it online only, or can I install it on premise?

Both. You can use JSandP online, or install it on your company's own servers. On premise, all ratings, ideas and votes stay in your own database, and people can sign in with their company account (LDAP). If you're interested, please contact us.
